El prestigioso saxofonista norteamericano vuelve a los escena-
ri s acomp ñado de una de las mejores bandas noruegas en una
propu sta arriesgada y em cionante.La colaboración se monta
al año 2006, cuando la orquesta y Redman se encontraron en
torno a una pieza escrita por el también saxofonista y director
artístico Eirik Hegdal. De la combinación entre uno de los mejo-
res saxofononistas de tradición jazzística norteamericana y una
orquesta europea surgió su trabajo

Homenaje a las Bos ell Sisters
O Sister!
El sexteto sevillano O Sister! rinde ho enaje a las Boswell Sis-
ters, trí de mujeres pioneras del jazz vocal en Estados Unidos
e inspiradoras de estrellas como la vocalista Ella Fitzgerald, en
un concierto en el que se mantedrán fieles a la música popular
norteamericana de los años 20 y 30, las épocas doradas del dixie
y del swing. El grupo recrea el directo que se ponía en práctica
durante la Gran Depresión en teatros, clubs, garitos o incluso a
pie de calle y donde no falta la diversión y la improvisación que
rezum en todos sus conciertos.

The Cosmic Joint
Este grupo burgalés comenzó como trío con la intención d revisar
y recrear temas clásicos del repertorio del soul, funk, pop, jazz y
rock de las últimas décadas en un formato acústico con dos guita-
rras y una voz. La reciente incorporación del contrabajo completa
el sonido del grupo y les permite abordar nuevas sonoridades. La
banda, formada por Beatriz Barrio (voz), Joaquín García (contra-
bajo), Javier García (guitarra acústica) y Raúl Mong (guitarra, voz
y percusió ), versiona de forma íntima y muy personal temas de
Ray Ch rles, Nina Simone, Otis Redding o L nny Kravitz.
